Comparative Governance and Learning Opportunities

Figure 3.jpg

Inspired by recent scholarly work on uncovering other theoretical territories that the Western urban theory cannot explain, my growing interest in this field investigates global cases of governance and urbanization, partly by studying the genetic processes (knowing the genesis behind specific urban outcomes) and the generative features (what actions have been taken with local considerations) with the selected items. I believe comparison itself is more than saying why something happened under certain conditions, but also what may be prevented and promoted for societal progress, with an open mindset of accepting exceptions.
