Teaching Philosophy
I follow three pedagogical principles in my teaching:
(I) encouraging students to learn with self-empowerment,
(II) learning with an international outlook, and
(III) establishing long-term mentorship beyond the classroom.
My goal is to strengthen the students’ analytical and communication skills while relating relevant case studies and projects to help them succeed in their careers. I have participated in numerous courses for lectures, seminars, and studios at undergraduate and graduate levels through both traditional and online formats. In these teachings, I prepared my materials considering how the knowledge and actual cases would be scalable, applicable, and inspirational for students to adopt for their career development in geography, public administration, urban planning, and urban design.
As an international scholar, I did my best to resolve barriers to international and minority students’ success. I created spaces for students to talk about their academic experiences comfortably. Being flexible and respectful to culturally diverse populations helped me understand students’ different learning styles, and I used such information to adjust my teaching to help them reach their potential.

Teaching Evaluation
I collect voluntary feedback from my previous students to present a high-level evaluation of my teaching effectiveness. The goal is to continue assembling their learning outcomes to restructure my teaching context so that these diagrams will be updated periodically.
